Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled GL Accountant to join our client’s team in Kaunas, a well-established accounting firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing general ledger functions, ensuring precise financial reporting, and supporting financial decision-making through comprehensive analysis of financial data. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and drive business growth through accurate and efficient financial practices.
Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the general ledger activities, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.

Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Prepare detailed financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend improvements.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.

Support internal and external audits and prepare documentation for regulatory reporting.

Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and strategic insights.

Continuously improve and streamline financial processes and reporting systems.
Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in general ledger management.

Advanced understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

In-depth knowledge of local and international financial regulations and standards.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

High proficiency in Excel and other financial tools.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Excellent communication skills, able to clearly present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Monthly Salary:
€2500 – €3300 gross, depending on qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
