Job Description:
 

We are seeking a skilled GL Accountant to join our client’s team in Kaunas, a well-established accounting firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing general ledger functions, ensuring precise financial reporting, and supporting financial decision-making through comprehensive analysis of financial data. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and drive business growth through accurate and efficient financial practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the general ledger activities, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.

  • Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure the integrity of financial data.

  • Prepare detailed financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.

  • Support internal and external audits and prepare documentation for regulatory reporting.

  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and strategic insights.

  • Continuously improve and streamline financial processes and reporting systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in general ledger management.

  • Advanced understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

  • In-depth knowledge of local and international financial regulations and standards.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

  • High proficiency in Excel and other financial tools.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to clearly present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Monthly Salary:

 

€2500 – €3300 gross, depending on qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
